Blog post by Mohammed Hussain, Chief Revenue Officer at Cornerstone VR, part of The Antser Group
We’re incredibly proud to share that this month Cornerstone VR, part of the Antser Group, has been recognised with not one, but two industry awards; Most Impactful VR Training Experience Provider 2025 UK at the SME 2025 Business Elite Awards and VR Trauma Training Programme of the Year at the Corporate LiveWire Global Awards 2025/26.
For us, these awards represent far more than industry recognition. They’re a reflection of how far we’ve come as a business, from an ambitious idea to use immersive technology to support fostering and adoption journeys, to becoming one of the leading providers of immersive learning and safeguarding training for children’s services and education.
Today, Cornerstone VR works with partners across local authorities, education, health, social care, the police, youth justice, fostering and adoption, ambulance services, and a host of independent providers, to deliver trauma-informed safeguarding training and intervention at scale. What started as a small, passionate team has evolved into a trusted partner to organisations and charities across the country, one that’s helping to shape how professionals engage with and support young people.
One powerful example of our work in action is our Knife Crime and Serious Youth Violence VR film series, created in partnership with Thurrock Council and Enfield Council. By placing young people ‘in the shoes’ of individuals facing difficult, real-world scenarios, these immersive experiences have helped shift perspectives and influence behaviour in a meaningful way. Following VR sessions, 75% of young participants reported the experience changed their perspective on knife carrying, 83% felt deterred from carrying a knife, and 92% said they felt more motivated to make safer choices for themselves. Engagement has been remarkable, with 100% of young people reporting that VR is more engaging than traditional learning and that the films should be shown to more young people.
The impact has been just as strong among professionals, with 96% reporting they gained a deeper understanding of young people’s perspectives, 96% saying it encouraged them to consider alternative approaches in their work, and 95% reflecting on their own responses and decision-making.
Our journey so far has been fuelled by collaboration and innovation. Every VR film and training experience we create is shaped by real voices: frontline practitioners, experts, and young people themselves, who understand the complexities of our topics. That collaborative approach has not only strengthened the impact of our work, but built a foundation of trust and credibility that we’re immensely proud of.
To see that impact now recognised by these prestigious awards is a milestone moment for our team and our valued customers. These awards celebrate the progress we’ve made together, and the potential that still lies ahead.
